Wording Your Advert
This is your first point of contact with potential buyers, so it's important
the advert conveys the right message. It's amazing how many people get this
wrong, and then wonder why responses are limited…had they only just put a little
more effort into their pitch, their kit would have sold in no time.
The ideal advert A perfect Kitforsale advert will include all
of the following:
- Exact type of kit: if it's a JP Australia Real Wave 84, write that - not 'JP
Wave board'.
- Make & Model.
- Year.
- Specifications - such as length, width, volume, sail or kite area
- Condition.
- Colour: can be helpful - particularly with sails or kites.
- Description of Features: Any additional features - comes complete with board
bag, fin, mast extension and so on - to entice the buyers and set your kit apart
from the others.
- Price: Buyers expect to bargain so if £450 really is your final price, ask
for a little more in the advertisement. But be realistic, check other similar
kit on Kitforsale.com to gain an idea of the right asking price.
- Colour photograph: Attach a photo, it'll make your advert stand out and
you'll get a better response.
Things not to say… Here's a
list of favorites that tell the buyer very little. Lovely board, good condition
for year, beautiful condition, one lady owner, no time wasters, first to see
will buy. Think about leaving them out when you are considering the wording
for your advert. |
