Everybody wants to have the most exciting and fastest slalom board on the planet well the brand new Mistral Screamer SL 105 might just fit the bill.
Having spent the past few years concentraing on the freeride and freesyle wave market, Mistral has clearly shown a passion to return to its roots and launch a brand new version of the all-time favourite.
Mark Nelson is a well-known shaper famous for his custom shapes on Hawaii and it is this expertise that has brought the "big M" brand back in to contention with the slalom sailors.
For many, the Screamer range will bring back many memories - so it is no surprise that Mistral have decided to launch these new, fast slalom shapes for 2007 under the name.
Mark has designed two shapes so far within the 2007 range: the Screamer SL 105 and the Screamer SL 120. Both shapes are compact but the main advantage that these boards bring with them is their extreme lightness. Utilising Mistrals new Hypertex Carbon Sandwich construction these boards are designed to accelerate like lightning.
The boards come in at an amazing 6.2kg and 6.9kg respectively.
With very fast outlines the boards are designed to be true race winners. They come complete with Pro finish - minimum paintwork sandpapered for the best contact with the water,Tuttle box and G10 fins shaped by Kai Hopf.
Aimed at the competition and general racer looking for an exhilerating ride - the Screamer SL marks the return of Mistral to the slalom scene.
