The extreme conditions of Pozo provide some of the best testing conditions for sailors and their kit. With the PWA tour taking in Gran Canaria for the 14th year this annual event never seems to fail in delivering the conditions - big winds and big swells.
It is these types of conditions that makes Pozo the testing site of some of the major brands and it was not surprising to see some new 2007 kit taking to the water over the last few days.
There has been much speculation about the replacement for the NP Search - Jason Polakow looked to be using it a couple of weeks back when he launched the new NP and JP Australia ranges.
Unfortunately, there was a press embargo and the pictures were doctored to hide the new outline.
Antoine Albeau however, was clearly seen to be using the new Alpha for the first time in an official competition.

We assume the sizes will be very similar to the existing Search but as soon as we get any further news about this new line we will let you know.
