Starboard S-type 2007

Created by by Tiesda You in response to the amazing success that the 2006 model has had in supercross competition. The S-type is also an ideal board for slalom and freeride. Their rounded outlines, domed decks and thin, tucked-under rail shapes are derived from freeride boards to blend their natural speed with smooth, sharp carving maneuverability and user-friendly comfort.

The new 2007 S-Type 93, 104 and 115 feature a new faster rockerline first developed on the class-leading Sonic 85. Slightly lower in the nose tip and slightly higher just ahead of the mast track, the resulting lower angle of attack improves high-wind control by helping keep the board trimmed and balanced, generating less aerodynamic drag for a higher top-end. The new shorter and narrower noses continue to reduce swing weight for an even more responsive ride.

The new 2007 S-Type 126 and 137 feature shorter noses to improve high-wind control and increase responsiveness, and new side-cuts in the tail that improve release and increase fin drive.

It should be noted that it S-type comes with a new range of fins developed for freeride high performance. The specially designed Drake fins are low-drag and super-fast fins developed to compliment the S-Types' high-speed freeride performance.

The S-type is created in 3 different constructions: Wood, Technora (a new construction that replaces the D-Ram construction of old) and a special edition club!

This really is a range of boards that fits a variety of conditions, more accessible and easier than the pure slaom shapes of the iSonics and great to jibe - but comes with outstanding speed and performance.
