The Professional Windsurfers association presented their long awaited constructors championship rankings based on results from PWA 2006 competition in the Wave, Slalom 42, Freestyle and Super-X disciplines.
The Starboard team lead by Antoine Albeau and Kevin Pritchard made sure they were best board constructor and the results of the Moreno twins and Karen Jaggi ensured North led the sail rankings by a comfortable margin.
Antoine Albeau can probaly take credit for Starboard's 1st place having lead the way from the start using the S Types to dominate the Super X discipline, and then backed up this success with dominance in the Slalom discipline, using the test winning iSonic and Sonic slalom boards.
Antoine says of his success:
"My objective for the world tour this year was to win in the Slalom 42 and Super-X, and as I've achieved that I'm pretty stoked! It was a special year for me with four good events in Slalom, the last three involving great battles."
This is some results as remember Antoine only joined the Starboard team at the start of the season!
The ever consistent Kevin Pritchard has also contributed to the Starboard success, putting his Acid and Evo wave boards to the test in a range of conditions to claim 1st overall in the wave sailing rankings. This has helped propel Starboard to the top of the pile in the current wave board constructors championships.

The cool laid back Caribbean's, Taty Frans and Sarah-Quita Offringa, have been using the Flare freestyle board to help Starboard top the freestyle constructors rankings. Both sailors have spent the summer displaying their smooth style at events.
Starboard founder Svein Rasmussen says of the teams success:
"It's so good to see our team rider developed boards doing so well at the top....We've put in many hours of testing to make the very best boards, that are not only capable of toping the world rankings, but are easy and fun to sail for our customers all over the world. We have to boast about our Frenchman Antoine. Until he joined Starboard his World Championship titles had been elusive. Now he is unstoppable, winning the first 11 PWA finals in a row, closely followed by Kevin Pritchard. Starboard thanks its many team riders from all over the world who have contributed to the team effort in making it to the top of the PWA Constructors Championships."
North can thank the Moreno twins and Karen Jaggi for much of their success. Daida finished the season winning both the 2006 Freestyle and Super-X Champion whilst Karen was a close runner up. Iballa was also never far behind as the 1-2-3 podium positions were usually a combination of all three North riders.
