Favourite spot:
South Africa in different spots, and Swedenīs west coast can deliver awesome conditions as well
Anyway, it depends on where my friends are. I like to surf with the guys that give me inspiration.
Favourite Fanatic board:
The Skate 99 is a beautyful one, I was very positively surprised that this board is so easy to handle. In waves I like the NewWave 74, itīs a very nice board!
Favourite manoeuvre:
In Wavesailing I learned some stalled forwards, thatīs a nice move and a awesome feeling. I like one hand backloops as well, itīs a very difficult move maybe thatīs why. In Freestyle I like to do shakas, itīs a different movement from the other sliding freestyle moves.
How I started windsurfing:
My father started 25 years ago when the sport was born actually, he surfed with a boom made of wood and boards that you needed the whole family to carry to the beach. He actually started the year me and my twin brother were born, so it was more or less a natural thing for us to try as soon as we grew up a little bit. I started when I was 10 years old, in 1988.
Best windsurfing day in my life:
Hmm
Itīs so many but a nice day in waves with my brother and my best friends on a spot in South Africa is like a dream.
Other sponsors besides Fanatic:
Neilpryde, Quiksilver, MFC, Skidsport Bromma, Surfers Paradise
My goals:
To have fun with the sport, learn as much as I can from it and of course do well in competitions. To put heart and soul into everything I do is my thing.
My slogan:
If you canīt rock nīroll, you donīt have to come!
