According to Mistral "the whole world is talking about this great new sport (SUP) – Stand Up Paddling" - and they have just launched a board to get more people on the water. Either catching waves or using it for a fun-paddling session on flat water conditions – this new board is accessible for everybody and can be learned within 5 minutes.
The new Mistral Pacifico is a very unique board because it offers two in one – can be used either as a great early planing Windsurfing board (from 2 Bft onwards) or as a Stand Up Paddle Board. For surfing the waves don’t have to be very big because of the large volume and you can catch the waves very early and easily.

Mistral Pacifico SUP Stand up paddle board or windsurf board
The new Mistral Pacifico is very similar to the AHD Summer Board we told you about back in June last year. Sharing a very similar outline and concept, both of these boards are going to be great for introducing more people to the world of windsurfing as well as giving those more experienced sailors an extra dimension to those windless days.
The Pacifico will be available in the shops late Spring. Developed by the in-house shaper Nelson Mark in collaboration with Nik Baker and Vittorio Marcelli of the Team Mistral.
The broad outline of the Pacifico is based on a traditional surfers longboard with a round nose and squared back. The rocker line has been carefully planned to ensure the board is stable whilct being used as a surf board but does none of the performance is lost when it is used with a sail.
It comes complete with carry handles for easy carrying and built using high resistant EVA skin this board will be ideal for a family beach holiday. If you want to use the board in paddle or surf mode there is a plug for a surf leash and to complete the package an adjustable paddle (180 - 215cm) is provided.
For the windsurfers, the board is equipped with three footstraps which can be completely removed and a 28cm G10 fin designed by Kai Hopf.
