The brand-new RAM F8 is 90% identical to the World Cup WARP F2007, the fastest sail North has ever built. With one batten less, a marginally slimmer mast pocket, and a slightly reduced sail foil tension, the RAM F8 requires less effort to control compared to the WARP. In all other respects, it delivers overwhelming racing power that mercilessly propels the rider forward.
The RAM is ideal in lighter winds and in the hands of weekend racers although if this sail could have been registered in time for the PWA 2007 slalom season, we think some of the North teamriders would be on them! Basically if you’re not going to sail overpowered all the time, you’ll probably be faster on the RAM than the Warp.
The battens rotate very easily through the softly gliding HYPER.CAMS. These create a rock-solid centre of effort while eliminating hard rotation during jibes. In combination with the latest TT.TOP, super rigid BOX.BATTEN, and the wide, conical AERO.SLEEVE mast pocket, the new RAM F8 can reach speeds that stun both GPS and racers on all courses. Despite this, the RAM F8 is completely easy to ride for a projectile of this calibre – which explains why it‘s simply so much faster. As a bonus, the RAM F8 can be trimmed with 4 or 3 cambers, so that you can adjust it for top performance or for easier handling.
